Alex Hart
Alex Hart’s adventures into the horticultural world started way back as a child helping out at the family home. For most people mowing Dads or Granddad’s lawn at the weekend for extra pocket money would have been a chore, not a pleasure. The seed was sown and he went straight into work after leaving school.

His first job was looking after Lord and Lady Delfonts garden in Sussex. After three years working along side the head gardener, getting a wealth of hands on practical experience, it was then on to commercial grounds maintenance.

In the next ten years he gained a knowledge of many aspects of work, from soft landscaping to meadow management, both domestic and commercial.

Alex has a passion for both plants and design work, thus the last 5 years he has spent designing gardens and planting schemes.

He has been awarded RHS Gold, Best in Show, Silver Gilt and Silver Medals. He has appeared twice at Chelsea, Tatton Park and at Gardeners World Live 2006. He has been the design consultant for the University of Sussex for the last 3 years.
